Peter Stasinopoulos - Research Fellow

Peter Stasinopoulos joined The Natural Edge Project Volunteer Working Group in 2004, became a part time Research Assistant in 2005, and is now a Research Fellow with the project. Peter graduated in Mechatronic Engineering with First Class Honours and Mathematical and Computer Sciences from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2003.

Peter is now undertaking a Masters degree by research at the University of South Australia in the field of Sustainable Manufacturing with a focus on Whole Systems Design Engineering. Based in Adelaide, Peter has worked on a variety of projects across TNEP's Education and Industry collaborations.

Beginning with the Engineering Sustainable Solutions Program, Peter has conducted research and compiled case studies for the Critical Literacies Portfolio and the Whole Systems Design Suite of the Design Practices Portfolio. Peter also contributed to the development of a detailed literature review for the E-Waste project in partnership with Dell and Griffith University, and took the lead on developing content for a Hewlett Packard White Paper on Sustainable Product Service Systems for IT.

Since the successful completion of these projects, Peter has worked with the TNEP team on the development of indicators, case studies and general research for industry clients such as Hatch (minerals and mining sector), Santos (oil and gas sector), VicUrban (infrastructure sector), and the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association (chemicals manufacturing sector).
