Toshiba's new de-colourable ink aims to boost paper
recycling and contribute to reduced environmental
loads. Toshiba has already developed a prototype de-colourable
printing ink that can be easily rendered invisible
by even low heat treatment or solvents and the new
ink promises efficient cost effective paper recycling
and allows the re-use of huge volumes of paper.

By this criterion, sustainable development involves
the maintenance of an overall stock of productive
capital (including natural capital), where distinct
capital items are weighted by appropriate dollar values,
and these dollar values (shadow prices) indicate their
degree of economic substitutability with each other.
